What is the Great Big Family Play Day?
Now in its 11th year, the Great Big Family Play Day is one of the biggest family festivals in Southern California — think live music, character meet-and-greets, sports zones, arts and crafts, a carnival area, food trucks, and more, all spread across the grounds of the Autry Museum in Griffith Park.
Saturday’s lineup features Doggyland headlining alongside the Beat Buds, Teacher Peter, Twinkletime, and a DJ dance party with DJ Natalina running into the evening. There’s also a Soccer Saturday activation tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, plus an LA Galaxy Star Squad appearance.
Sunday brings a headlining performance from children’s music icon Laurie Berkner at 11:00 AM — one show only — along with Jam with Jamie, Kids Imagine Nation, a Princess Sing-A-Long, and more.
Between the two stages, the Woom Bike Course, Tonies Trading, ball pits, sample box stations with Hey Milestone, and full access to the Autry Museum (including the kids’ play space inside), there’s genuinely more to do than any family can fit into a single day.
